The one thing that dissapointed me about my Akai Reel to Reel was when in mono mode the sound only came out though the left channel, not both. it's not a defect, just the way it was desighned. I was quite shocked at how mono mode was actually acheived on this recorder and as I frequently use this as a mono machine. I decided to make a little modifcation. Now when it's in mono mode, the sound comes though both left and right outputs simultaneously, and I'm still able to select the tape track to record and play from. Stereo mode still works just like it should so it can still be used as a stereo machine too. Also does ANYBODY know whitch episode of "Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog" is the one where Robotnick says "Pingas"? This is something thats been bugging me ever since I started watching YouTube poop and I'd like to know.
