Learn how to set up a frequency table when calculating statistics for experimental design. Step 1. Collect data Step 2 List all values that occur from smallest to the largest. Step 3. Tally the number of times a number occurred. This is why it is called a frequency table because you are calculating the frequency that a number occurs.
