Talking about your week and your future plans is one of the best ways to apply your new Chinese skills. In the US, this kind of "water cooler talk" is also common in China. It may be small talk, or it may be the difference of making a hotel reservation for the wrong day. Be clear! Here they are:
昨天 (Zuótiān) Yesterday". Example:

昨天非常冷.
Zuótiān fēicháng lěng.
It was very cold yesterday.

"今天 (Jīntiān) Today". Example:

今天是我的生日!
Jīntiān shì wǒ de shēngrì!
Today is my birthday!

"明天 (Míngtiān) Tomorrow". Example:

明天会下雨.
Míngtiān huì xià yǔ.
Tomorrow it will rain.
