Humanitarian Support: Churchill Donates Ambulance, To Federal Fire Service

A Non Governmental Organization, Big Church Foundation has donated a Mercedes Ambulance, 1000 Fire Extinguishers and 1000 Fire Blankets to the Federal Fire Service.

Speaking at the occasion in abuja, the Controller General of the Service, Anebi Garba said since the establishment of the service in the year 1901, no organization neither individual has ever donated to the service until now that the Foundation has done so.

While appreciating the gesture by the Foundation which is made up of Celebrities in Nigeria, he noted that the service has ordered for fire fighting machines in order to strengthen fire services in Nigeria.

Earlier, The founder of the Foundation, Olakunle Churchill said the gesture is to help tackle fire incidents in Nigeria, as the government can not do it alone.

In related development, Members of the Foundation moved from Federal Fire Service Head Office Abuja to Trauma Centre of the National Hospital Abuja to visit fire victims who are admitted in the hospital to show their humanitarian support.

Celebrities who are also members of the Foundation expressed trauma seeing victims who are admitted at the Centre, for them organizations like theirs as well as individuals should look beyond depending on government and contribute their quoter for the development of the Nation. END.
