Syracuse Crunch fans can ride along on the War Memorial's ice resurfacing machine during intermissions as part of the Crunch's "on-ice experiences" for group ticket sales, birthday parties and corporate sponsors. Ice resurfacing machines are commonly referred to as "zambonis" and smooth over the ice by using sharp blades and hot water.
