At Big Cat Rescue we train our volunteers before they are allowed to do on site or off site events. We believe that our volunteers are a representative of Big Cat Rescue and we want to be sure that they are looking good and giving out accurate information. Big Cat Rescue participates in many different types of events, both on-site and off. These events are attended for promotional and fund-raising purposes. Events may be on-site at the sanctuary, or off-site at various fairs, parties, stores, festivals, schools, etc. The following requirements must be met in order to participate in any event: Maintain the minimum number of weekly hours required for your shirt level. Completed and signed Special Events Class. Event and Volunteer Coordinator must approve of your participation. Upcoming events will be listed on the board in the Volunteer Check Point, Main Office, and on the Events Calendar posted on the Volunteer Resources page of the BigCatRescue.me site. If you are interested in working an event and have been approved for event participation by taking the event training class, contact the Event Coordinator responsible for the listed event.
