Very nice 1970s Marryat Scott lift, Complete and original. It took me 4 attempts to film this lift... 1st attempt - I was walking past a derelict building Chatham (Its been derelict for years!), but today it was being refurbished and put back into use! So I sneaked in to see if there was a lift, I managed to ride the lift but I did not have my camera! 2nd attempt - I went back to the building with my camera, pressed the button for the lift and it arrived full of stuff! The builders who were transporting stuff in the lift noticed it had gone to the ground floor, and came running down to see what had happened. They told me that I had to leave the building and the lift was for goods only. Nobody was allowed in the lift (not even them) as it had not been passed by health and safety. They also said that the lift was going to be modernized. (NOOOOOOOOOOOO). 3rd Attempt - I went back to the building to find that the lift had been switched off. There was a lift companies van outside. The lift engineer told me that it was not being modernized. (YAY). 4th Attempt - I went back to the building, Refurbishment was complete, and the lift has been kept original. (3rd floor is now locked).
