It is definitely time to upgrade the microphone setup and get serious about this side of things on the channel I think. After many deliberations and making extensive use of other videos on YouTube (thanks to all!) plus some strong recommendations from folks like stratshadow from Duo Astral Plane - I decided to go with the NT-USB Condenser microphone from Rode. In this video I go through all the unboxing of the Microphone, pop filter, boom arm and the shock mount. I also go through setting it all up and using it. Microphone quality using it isn't as good as it should be - since filming this video I have figured out a bunch of tricks with some software to massively improve it and will be doing a dedicated video on that side of things asap. Overall though - this is an absolutely quality bit of kit, really impressed.
