Paintings by Judith Leyster: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judith_Leyster with the sampled Rückers harpsichord by Realsamples. Monumenta Musica Neerlandica "De Mey die komt ons by, seer bly" a French courante, from which the melody is also used by Valerius in his Nerderlandsche Gedenck-Clanck. From the Klavierboek van Anna Maria van Eijl. Anna Maria van Eijl could have been a pupil of van Steenwick who became organist in Kampen in 1675. It is the year where the manuscript by Anna came to an end, because her teacher moved. Anna was born in Arnhem in 1656. Steenwick contributed the largest number of composition in this collection and so we can say he was an important Dutch composer of keyboard music. He was organist (and player of the carillon) in Arnhem and later Kampen. ernst stolz
