Oct. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Gene Spiegelman, executive vice president at Cushman & Wakefield, talks with Bloomberg's Mark Crumpton about the vacancy rate at U.S. shopping centers.¶
Spiegelman also discusses the state of retail properties on New York's Madison and Fifth Avenues. Vacancies at U.S. shopping centers rose in the third quarter to a 17-year high as unemployment climbed, consumers cut spending and stores closed, real estate research company Reis Inc. said.
