Guantanamo Closure Could Spark International Cooperation on Terror

World reaction has been positive to President Barack Obama's decision Thursday to close the US prison camp at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba within a year. But details have not been worked out concerning the 250 foreign detainees being held there. The president's executive order says a review board will consider which detainees will await trial in other US prisons and which ones will be released and transferred to other countries. At a news conference at the Pentagon, Defense Secretary Robert Gates said the challenge is to figure out how to close Guantanamo while protecting the American people. VOA's Deborah Block reports.
