This is Race 41, which is the Varsity Girls, Gold Division Heat A, from day 2 of the 2018 Woodbridge Cross Country Classic meet held September 15, 2018 at Silverlakes Sports Complex in Norco, California. The course is 3 miles. Host schools are Woodbridge High and Northwood High, both of Irvine, California.

Commentary: Morgan Hykes, a 3-year veteran of 4A championships in Colorado, comes to SoCal for the first time and wins. Takes over at the 2-mile mark and has the stronger finish. Could be the favorite in 4A in her final year. Emily Stutesman led for the first 2 miles. She is a 3-year Woodbridge veteran, slashing a minute twenty off her time each year. 102 girls under 20.
