JAMMU LINKS NEWS | Excise Department destroyed 700 Kg of Lahan during raids carried out to arrest the menace of illicit distillation and sale of liquor in Excise Range Kathua. On the directions of the Excise Commissioner Talat Parvez Rohella and supervision of Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Syed Muried Hussain Shah, the Excise Team comprising ETO Savita Chouhan, ETO Eradication Varinder Billoria along with Insp Enforcement, Office of Excise Commissioner Imtiaz Ahmad Khan, Range Inspector Excise Arun Kumar, SI Vikas Khajuria, Amit Sharma, Sanjeev Kumar, Naveen Sharma and Excise Guards Rajinder Singh, Shamsher Dev Singh, Tarsem Singh, Mohd Ramzan and Gibson Khokhar raided the Ghatti, Dhabwal and Upper Saktachak areas of Kathua district to arrest the menace of illicit distillation of liquor. In the process more than 700 Kg of Lahan and raw material used for making illicit liquor was recovered by the raiding team from State land and later destroyed on spot.
