Dragon Quest XI: Echos of an Elusive Age is my first mainline dragon quest game since my minimal experience with Dragon Quest VIII back on the PS2. Regardless...all I remember is that the experience was amazing...and boy was I right.

This game does everything right and just straight up makes me happy to play. The graphics alone make the experience so inviting and im sorry but I've been needing a STANDARD feeling JRPG. It feels like these games lately have been doing a lot extra..and not that thats entirely bad, but it's just refreshing to come back to the good old days. 


Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age[b] is a role-playing video game developed and published by Square Enix. An entry in the longrunning Dragon Quest video game series, it was released in Japan for the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation 4 in July 2017, and worldwide for the PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows in September 2018. It will also be released for the Nintendo Switch sometime later. By the end of 2017, the game had sold three million copies across the PlayStation 4 and 3DS.
