We had temperatures that were slightly above average for this time of year, which made for a foggy but mild run commute home. And while I certainly enjoyed the running conditions, I found myself kind of wishing that it was colder or snowier or slushier. I'm ready for full on winter, but we're still just in the early stages it seems. And today, I'm trying to keep in mind that the winters are long here, and there will be plenty of time for testing out winter shoes. And it's a reminder to myself more generally to take a step back, take inventory of what's right in front of me at the moment, appreciate, and enjoy.
