Hosted by actress, singer, and activist Joy Villa, with Seattle Strings and Konbit Mizik! The Seattle community celebrated a beautiful, inspiring tribute to the Victims of Haiti's devastating Earthquake of 2010, while flowing funds to Kay Tita Community Center. The evening began with updates on Haiti and David Pierre-Louis, creator of LUCID Jazz Lounge, and son of Tita, speaking about his plans and visit to Haiti this January, 2012. Following that, a special preview of David's powerful upcoming Haiti Documentary. Special Sounds Musical Showcase Provided By : Jean Caze, Nathalie Guillaume, Leift Totusek & Friends, Verbal Oasis, Moe Betta, Jaz Lund, Ayron Jones, Joy Villa and many more... Proceeds go to benefit rebuilding Tita's House, (Run by Tita, David Pierre-Louis' mother) into a Multi-Level Community Resource Center & Konbit Mizik. Funds Go Toward Building: Tita's House: A multi-level community resource center. A house geared towards community outreach and development. Foundation: 5,000 Sq Ft. Basement: Tita's Living Quarters, Bedroom, Living Room, Bathroom, 1st floor: Kitchen: Commercial training facility/ Restaurant, (10) Transitional Bedrooms, (3) showers, meeting area & Lounge 2nd floor: Multi-Media Classrooms: 3 of them 1,000 sq ft each, reception area, 1 Full Recording Studio, 800 sqft. 3rd floor: Urban farming, Solar panels, Pea Pot, community gardening More Info and Donations: www.kaytita.com
