Vowel balance is crucial to good consistent singing and especially good for transitioning into our upper registers. In this video I take you through one of my favorite practices to evaluate and work on the balance of the five main vowels we use for vocal practice. As you cycle through the vowels, listen carefully to the sound of your voice and try to maintain consistent sound no matter which vowel is the first in the sequence. If you notice changes, notice which vowel is first, and assess the tone of that vowel giving consideration to how it sounds compared to your other vowels.

Doing this regularly will help in the alignment of your vowels, enhancing your overall consistency of sound and performance!
