Kumiko Fukuda
CEO of Digital Book Print Co., Ltd.

Kumiko Fukuda was born as a daughter of a fisherman in Otsuchi, a town famous for fishery in Iwate Prefecture. After starting up an IT firm in Tokyo, she opened a seafood restaurant named Denzaemon, which has been consistently serving high-quality seafood of Otsuchi. She has been active in publicizing her hometown, opening up morning markets in Tokyo to sell agricultural/marine products from Otsuchi. In 2008, she founded a company named Digital Book Print in Otsuchi, which handles various duties from IT and printing to transport. The company was completely destroyed by the tsunami in March 2011. However, by November of the same year, the company restarted its electronic data entry business in the city's temporary business zones. She also resumed branding the food items produced in Otsuchi, and in the process developed an innovative method for transporting fresh seafood. This method won the grand prize in the first Revive Japan Cup, hosted by the Reconstruction Agency in 2014.

良 質な水産物が水揚げされる岩手県大槌町で、漁師の娘として育つ。東京都内でIT関係会社の起業後、美味しい水産物が食べられる食事処『伝左衛門』をオープ ン。大槌産の農林水産物を販売する朝市を開催するなど、大槌の魅力を日本中に伝える活動を行う。2008年に大槌で株式会社デジタルブックプリントを設 立。ITから印刷、運送など幅広い分野を取り扱う。しかし、東日本大震災によって施設設備が全壊流出。一時業務が困難になるが、2011年11月大槌町内 の仮説復興団地で電子入力業務を再開。大槌産の食材のブランド化に向けた取り組みも再開し、水産物の鮮度を保つ画期的な輸送方法『旬感保冷大槌復興絆便』 を開発。この取り組みが評価され、平成25年度復興庁主催REVIVE JAPAN CUP大賞を受賞。
