We started our hike at about 5am, with weather in the 30s... but as the sun started to rise and the elevation drops... things started to heat up. The temperature at the bottom was about 100 degrees.... a 70 degree drop in one morning.

In this clip, we made our first stop of the morning to shed our long sleeve shirts and other layers and take a quick break.

This is one of many clips taken on our journey to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, followed by a series of videos taken while rafting, camping and exploring the Colorado River.

This video was shot using the front camera on an iPhone 5, which was mounted on an iPole Mini from FastCap, which is a handy little gadget that extends from about 9 inches to a whopping 43 inches, which lets me get into the shots.
