Video capture of American Water Birds and Gators at the Savannah Wildlife Refuge to share with others :) Note: So many birds and fish are dying around the world. I have set a goal to capture all the wildlife I can find, while there is still wildlife left to capture. A bit about American Coots shown in video: Their body is all black and it's beak is white-chicken-like which distinguishes it from real ducks. Also, these Birds have toes with lobes, not webbed feet like a duck. Habitat - lakes & ponds, Food - plants. The American Alligator is a reptile, AKA Gator, Habitat: Wetlands (the lowcountry), fresh water and brackish water, The Refuge was established in 1927, has 29,000 acres of fresh water marshes, tidal rivers, bottomland hardwoods, sandhill ridges, & diverse wildlife, which are great alligator habit loaded with prey. Male alligators usually do not grow larger than 14.5 feet and females 9.8 feet. As I walked the area, more and more Alligators began surfacing. I made sure not to get too close to the edges of the marsh thinking an alligator could be nesting on the edge of the marsh. A combination of gusty winds and light rain made filming difficult. The ecosystems, ie, waters, marshes, grasses, wildlife all looked good except for one bird with a swollen hurt foot. Thanks for watching :) Video filmed by YouTuber ln4359
