Pre Irma storm power preparation testing, 6LD260 Lombardini diesel with 30+ gallon diesel tank full to the top along with a 12v 40a alternator, hooked up to a battery along with a small 1000w power inverter, just testing the setup 2 days before we were hit by hurricane Irma, the following day I ran the 2ga battery cables to my battery bank which had a different 3000w continuous power inverter hooked up to it. It worked well for about 14 hours powering my fridge,tv / cable, internet, lights and fans. Until the very old belt broke.. so I pulled another generator out.
