On 10-17-2015 I was driving north on US-77 from Brownsville to Corpus Christi when I found myself 100 miles north of the border and stopped at an INTERNAL federal border checkpoint. A dog smelled drugs in my rental car so I was interrogated, detained, and eventually let go. Federal checkpoints in the USA are a complete violation of our 4th amendment rights and we should not stay silent about these abominations.
