This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Isméne Elbers did a special performance after the talk of Marcel Mingers. His focus is on the total visitor experience: music, entertainment and happiness. So, this performance is the ideal visualization of his talk. 

In 1996 the famous music festival Extrema Outdoor was hosted for the first time at the Dutch recreational area Aquabest. It was a big success. The festival grew in subsequent years, attracting 65.000 visitors in 2010, hosting the 20th edition in 2015. A Belgian and Norwegian edition were introduced in 2009, the former winning the European Festival Award in 2010 in the category “Best New Festival’ during the Eurosonic trade fair. 

Extrema Outdoors is considered one of the largest and most successful festivals at home and abroad. In addition to Extrema Outdoor, Marcel and his company are known for the organization of the two day pop and dance festival Solar, hosted since 2005. As an entrepreneur, Marcel knows what it is like to respond to a changing market while staying focused on the total visitor experience: music, entertainment and happiness!
