The project âSognomeccanicoâ (italian for Mechanical Dream) was born in 2015 from the collaboration between Eugenio Mazza (Pavor Nocturnus) and Tim McGee (Versuscode, The Null Ensemble), two musicians geographically at the opposite but linked by passion for electronic, disturbing and experimental sound textures. Sognomeccanico is a throbbing muddle of sounds that leads the listener through an oneiric, scary and melancholic journey, by drones, sweet lullabies, persistent and syncopated percussions, ethereal voices and hypnotic melodies. Sognomeccanico searches in the subconscious, painting soundscapes in which coexist angst, fear, joy and heartrending pain, apparitions and visions, each one against the other but blended, repulsing and attracting at the same time, in a vortex of (dis)equilibrium. This is Sognomeccanico.
