If you want a left handed baitcaster reel you need the 101. Get the HG model for sure, it has the faster gear ratio than the non HG. If you don’t get the DC it won’t make the noise this one does because of the digital chip braking system. GET THE DC!!! If you go heavier it is useful in certain applications, although you get less casting distance because of the thickness, and going much lighter isn’t necessary unless you are using more finesse (lighter baits/lures) tactics or possibly a spinning real, as opposed to a baitcaster.
