Die Gemütlichen Schuhplattler from Anaheim, California was founded in 1971. Its members are dedicated to preserving Bavarian culture and customs. The principal activity of the club is to teach and perform the Schuhplattler folk dance. There are adult and children's groups in the club. Die Gemütlichen Schuhplattler is a member of the Gauverband Nordamerika. Practices are held the every Tuesday in the Pavilion at the Phoenix Club. Die Gemütlichen Schuhplattler meets at the Phoenix Club, located at 1340 S Sanderson Ave, Anaheim, CA 92806. Die Gemütlichen Schuhplattler’s main performances are: • Bockbierfest • Maifest • Oktoberfest These three affairs are all held at the Phoenix Club. All are invited to attend these affairs. Both the Children and Adult groups perform at these events. Die Gemütlichen Schuhplattler appears at many other events throughout the year. Some are private affairs, such as weddings. Others are open to the general public. Die Gemütlichen Schuhplattler have also appeared in the Rose Parade.
