Lost my first continue here! Fiddling around at trying to reach a background box and flubbing a Replay can really hurt'cha! (So can ninjas!)

And much of the extra length of this video can be attributed to the "Infinite VFX" potions I would find in the Trick House. I hold slow the ENTIRE TIME for those because every single enemy hit in slow once a combo is started adds a multiplier to your score. This is normally limited, but infinite? BOO YA. HUGE COMBOS. Needed to buy stuffs, otherwise I wouldn't be so crazy on it, I assure you. Please understand. (/Iwata)

What also doesn't help is that the BOSS takes forever because you can only get two good hits in at a time! Unless... you manage to dodge the entirety of his super stabby combos. The ones he hardly ever does? yeah.

Here's hoping the next film will be less of a director's cut, yeah?

Henshin-a-go-go, baby! Viewtiful Joe 2 is a direct-to-disc sequel of the first game and adds a new character to the mix: Silvia! She packs pistol-pom-poms and a mean kick! The reels in this game far more openly parody famous movies and the baddies are just as goofy (and hard to understand) as always!

I've only played this one once before... I think. So it's almost like a blind run for me. At least I cut my chops on the first Viewtiful Joe, recently! It turns out that Joe as a whole is a lot more, uh... "better" than Silvia, but I try to give her a fair amount of screen-time, too! Her pistols allow her to attack from a decent distance and she can slow-em down to increase their damage and size! She also gets a new power introduced in the series, "Replay". It allows you to multiply a physical hit three times! It'd double-sided, though, 'cause if you get hit the damage is three times back to you!

Anyway, this game is much like the first! Fun, crazy, stylish action! It's VIEWtiful~!

A couple technical notes:

This is being played on a Nintendo Wii, a system backwards-compatible with GameCube discs, with component cables. The Wii has the same hardware built-in as the GameCube. Progressive Scan was also enabled in-game so that a clear image is available with no deinterlacing.
