ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Chris Chalkley is Chairman and founding member of the community organisation, The People's Republic of Stokes Croft (PRSC). The main aim of PRSC is to "provide benefit to The Community by promoting the interests of the area",which include creativity, culture and the local economy.

In one of Bristol's most dilapidated areas, a group of artists, free-thinkers and local residents joined together in an attempt to speed up the regeneration of the area and turn it into an important cultural quarter of the city.
