Ulysse Nardin Reference 2342

Today we're discussing the Ulysse Nardin Michelangelo Power Reserve 2342, a mother-of-pearl and lacquer-dial hinge-lug rectangular watch.  

This pre-1995 complication comes from the Rolf W. Schnyder era. 

The watch is 40.5 mm from lug to lug and is 9 mm thick. It wears very compact on the wrist. With its stepped flanks of the case, it slides easily under a tight sleeve or dress cuff. It is 29.5 mm from 9 o’clock to 3 o’clock.

The yellow gold is incredibly powerful. The watch has incredible visual impact, personality, and character for its relatively moderate size. 

The beautiful leather strap features a Ulysse Nardine pin buckle. 

The watch features the Frederic Piguet 951-based, Ulysse Nardine Calibre 177 with automatic winding.

This handsome, original, exceptionally uncommon watch features a deft use of yellow gold with perfect proportions.
