Anwar Group of Industries Founder Chairman Anwar Hossain at DIU Industry Academia Lecture Series on “Entrepreneurship with Diversity” With the aim to inform and motivate the educated youths of the struggle and challenges faced on route to success by the well known entrepreneurs of the country, Daffodil International University Industry Academia Lecture Series on Entrepreneurship Development introduced by Career Development Center (CDC) held today on February 24, 2018 at 71 Milonayoton. Career Development Center (CDC) of Daffodil International University has taken the initiative where country’s renowned 12 successful well known Entrepreneurs are taking part in these lecture series gradually in different episode and delivering their success story. Today’s program was 12th of its continuous endeavor where Anowar Hossain, Founder Chairman of Anwar Group of Industries delivered the 12th lecture of the series on “Entrepreneurship with Diversity”. Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University delivered the welcome address in the program. The program was also addressed by Professor Dr. Yousuf M Islam, Vice Chancellor, Mr. Mahabubur Rahman, Former President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industries (DCCI), Monowar Hossain (eldest son), Hossain Mehbub (middle son), Hossain Khaled (yougest son), Md. Abu Taher Khan, Director, Career Development Center (CDC) and Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director (Student Affairs) of Daffodil International University. Country’s renowned industrialists, business leaders, economists, teachers, researchers and elites of the civil society were present at the program. Mr. Anwar Hossain, Founder Chairman of Anwar Group of Industries urged the young students to be industrious as well as to be educated on morally and ethically holding the social values in their character. He said, it is not enough to achieve an academic certificate only; rather you should also get an ethical certificate. Otherwise the academic certificate wouldn’t effective to your career. Mr. Hossain said, desire is enough to be an entrepreneur. Business idea is everywhere. Just you took the idea and do hard work for fulfill your desire. Inspiring the students he reminded that there is no alternate of success except leadership quality. While addressing the program,Expressing memories with his father Mr. Monwar Hossain (eldest son) said, many of us knows about my father’s business life. So, I would like to speak about my father’s personal life. He was associated with all walks of people. He was fond of travelling in domestic and abroad. Now a day, due to sickness he couldn’t travel anywhere. My father always said, Those who work in Anwar Group as a worker, as if their children mustn’t come back as the same asa worker rather they must have to complete their higher education and join with us as a top ranked employee. That’s why he helped them a lot with his level best. He also said that as his father did not have formal education, so he helps 397 primary schools around the country on behalf of Anwar Group. Mr. Hossain Mehmud, second son of Mr. Anwar Hossain said, after completing my graduation I had been appointed in Anwar Textile. Then my father advised me that learning is an endless process, so you have to learn until death. Mr. Hossain Mehmud told the students that he has been still abide by the advice of his father till today. He also said that he had leant from his father how to conduct business with honesty and integrity. Mr. Hossain Khaled, the youngest son of Anwar Hossain said, I found some objectives through study of my father’s whole life that he respects his mother tremendously, he loves his children, he takes meal regularly, he walks every day, he leads a disciplined life and he keeps note with him all time. Any people can become successful in life if he maintains those routine wise. He also said, my father had dreamt that 20 thousand employees will work together in Anwar Group by 2020 and we are trying our best and hopeful to fulfill his dream.
