While visiting Phuket, we decided to take a speed boat trip to Phi Phi islands. It is a full day outing, starting at 8am and finishing at around 17:00. You will pay around 1500 Baht, which roughly translates to around R400 per person ($50 US). This covers your transport (they pick you up from the hotel), lunch, snorkeling & snorkeling gear, refreshments on the speed boat and a buffet lunch at Phi Phi Don. Depending on the weather, you will visit around 5 islands and have time to snorkel at 3 locations for around 40 minutes. At the end of the day, you get dropped off back at your hotel again, exhausted and happy. I would highly recommend adding this to your itinerary. It is a fuckload of fun, plus the islands are beautiful and the okes on the boat are friendly.
