Dino OLIVIERI’s orchestra was one of the best dance/swing bands in the history of Italian pop music in the 20th century, its popularity and class to be compared with such international dance bands as Jack Hylton in Great Britain, Peter Kreuder in Germany or Benny Goodman in the US. Besides bandleading, Dino Olivier was also a composer of international evergreen “J’Attendrai” (1937). CRIVEL (ne Fernando Crivelli 1889 in Milan - d. 1960 in Milan) Italian singer who was active from the 1920s to the 1950s. He recorded as: Crivel, Orsini tenor, Bello tenor, Italo Corsi, Berettini, F. Rossi, Rossi, E. Torres. Known for the particular tone of voice, attractiveness and sound, he is especially remembered for the interpretation of some songs that were fervent in the fascist regime. His pro-fascist attitude during the Mussiloni reign has strongly affected his post-war career, gradually leading his name to oblivion. However, during years of artistic activity, Crivel had seemingly beaten the European record of effectivenes: he recorded about 20,000 / 30,000 (!) songs, romances, recitatives etc.
