This song is one performed in his own inimitable style by the late Ronnie Drew of the Dubliners. With his gravelly voice he injected great humour into the performance, far more so than I can do, but as it is another of the songs in Soodlum's Irish Ballad Book that I have not performed before, I thought I would give it a try.
