Children in Papua New Guinea Receive a Glimpse of Hope The Message of God’s Love Children are reminded that God loves them through the distribution of shoebox gifts Many in Papua New Guinea, endure the effects of poverty, crime, and HIV/AIDS. People on the outskirts of Lae spend their days picking through trash; looking for something to sell. Through Samaritan's Purse,Australia sent 22,000 shoebox gifts to the children of Papua New Guinea so that children would know that someone cares. Staff distributed the shoebox gifts and told children about the greatest gift of all.
