Sometime in the mid 80's I found this vinyl single in a wood, thrown away I guess. It has remained in loft storage since, until today when I converted both the A and B side tracks to MP3 format and then I thought it a shame I'm probably the only human being alive right now who's listening to it so decided to put it up on YouTube with a video of the 7" single spinning around. This video is the MP3of the A side "A Summer Love". The single is rare, can find hardly anything at all about Richie Tattersall on the Internet, except that he may be the same Richard Tattersall who composed the music for 'Carry On Laughing' (1975). The single was produced and arranged by Richie under United Artists/Tattersall Music and copyright 1976 This Record Co Ltd. The label is DJS 10706. The B side is "Just As Long As You're Mine" and was arranged by John Clark. The record has 'TASTY' printed on both sides, I'm not sure what this is...perhaps a band/group name? The sound of the record was pretty terrible with very audible scratchy noises and lots of pops and clicks. I've done a clean up as much as possible without loosing too much clarity. The lead in and out is a seperate recorded MP3 of the original lead-in sound, that static was throughout the whole track originally. If anyone has any other information about Richie Tattersall please post your comments...and let me know if you like this song (or not).
