Who was the 7 billionth baby born on planet earth? We may never know for sure but October 31, 2011 has been designated by the United Nations as the day world population reached 7 billion citizens. The world hit the first billion mark in 1804 according to Demographers, and it took until 1927 to reach 2 billion, followed by 3 billion in 1959, 4 billion in 1974, 5 billion in 1987, 6 billion in 1998, and now 7 billion in 2011. The UN projects 10 billion by 2083, apart from any cataclysmic major death tolls from war or disease.
