High Court has directed Food Safety and standard Authority of India to expedite the process to set the permissible limit of Formalin in Fish. Meanwhile, the High Court has asked state authority to file affidavit in 2 weeks replying 'whether to consider 4mg formalin permissible in 1 Kg of Fish. The High Court has also directed Goa government to insure continuous surprise checks in major fish markets and file the status report on next date of hearing.
