The grounded powder of tourmaline crystals is infused to the nylon bristles of the hairbrushes give off negative ions (electrical charge) as the brush is heated and rotated. Damaged cuticle of hair carry positive charge, and as the negative charge comes in contact with the positive charge it constricts the cuticle shot and makes the hair shine. The hair is then tight, shiny and humidity resistant. A good brush has no place to catch hair on the end or the beginning of the barrel that makes the blow-dry service much faster and easier.
