ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- Dozens of Habitat for Humanity volunteers got a special show Friday afternoon from Warren Haynes. The annual Christmas Jam will happen Saturday night, but in the run-up to the show the Gov't Mule musician stopped by the Habitat site of the 2014 Christmas Jam House to play the beloved hit "Soulshine". Every year the proceeds from the annual concert - one of the biggest of the year for Asheville - go to Habitat for Humanity, which builds homes for working families that can't afford to buy a home on the open market. The Garcia Sanchez family of five will move into the four bedroom, two bathroom house on a West Asheville cul-de-sac this spring. Carlos Garcia, the father of the two girls and a newborn boy says he never dreamed that he'd have the opportunity to own a home. "Changes our life in all ways," Garcia said. "Having a warm place to be, not getting wet, space - it just changes your world." Garcia works a third shift manufacturing job in the mountains. "I want to leave something for my family in the future."
