The Russian Defense Ministry Friday denied allegations that its airstrikes in Syria have hit wrong targets instead of the IS extremist group. The announcement is a response to a joint statement issued by Turkey, the United States, Germany, Britain, France, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. These countries accused Russia of failing to target the IS positions and causing civilian casualties. Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said the allegations were complete nonsense and have no factual basis. The ministry has noticed various false information and intended to release its own reports with maps and videos to the public twice a day.
