At the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Bank of America sponsored a Family Home, where U.S. Olympians, their families and friends could gather in a comfortable environment away from the venues for the duration of the Games. But Bank of America dropped out as a TEAM USA sponsor after being hit hard by the global economic downturn. Proctor & Gamble has stepped in for these Winter Games, creating the P&G Family Home as part of its sponsorship. VOA Sports Editor Parke Brewer reports from Vancouver on the popular gathering place.
