This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Leonor, with her amazing imagination and tale telling magic, shares with us her Tale for a New Arrival, and discusses the way the love for words and literature can have a transformative effect.

Leonor, con su increíble imaginación y  magia de narración oral, comparte con nosotros su Cuento para una Recién Llegada, y nos comparte sus ideas de como el amor por las letras es profundamente  transformador.

Leonor has given most of her life to her intense relationship with literature. She has a deep and fun literary production, which includes forty-four books of tales and novels for children and youth. She has collaborated with the main institutions in Ecuador related to childhood. In 1999, the National Institute for Children and Families (Instituto Nacional de la Niñez y la Familia) gave Leonor an honorary mention for her contribution to creative development to children. In her talk Leonor invites us to dare to dream and read, to fall in love with literature and take chances.
