This is how we organized our Mini Command Center in our Kitchen.

We use this area to plug our phones and tablets. 

This is also where my kids put permission slips, extra-curricular info, payments to be made for school, etc. into the "Mom Inbox" so that I can take action. Then I put it in the "Outbox/Action" so that they can put it in their folders, binders, or school bags to return to school or to be put in their respective school Reference Binders. 

We use the scissors and stapler often so that is why they are here.

Earphones are also now accessible and can be put back more readily.
