Non food crops are likely to play an increasingly important part in agriculture although there is a cross over between food crops that are used for non food purposes. Important roles for crops used in non food purposes include those used for clothing, fuel and bioplastics amongst others. Here John Williams of the National Non Food Crop Centre in the UK throws some light onto the non food sector.
