Ex-LMS Class 8F 2-8-0 no.48151 'Gauge O Guild' hauled the Preston - Blaenau Ffestiniog - Preston tour 'The Welsh Mountaineer' (1Z43 & 1Z45) We start off the video at Tal-Y-Cafn where we see the 8F coasting alongside the river to make a brief "stop" at the station before charging away to Blaenau. Next we come to Pont-Y-Pant Station where we see 48151 blasting up the bank, even slipping as she comes out the tunnel, definitely the loudest thing I've ever heard. Now at Blaenau Ffestiniog we see the various moves taking place such as 48151 running round then shunting the stock onto the opposing line to make way for the service train. Later we see one of the Ffestiniog Railway's famous double fairlie locomotives 'Earl Of Merioneth' arriving, running round then departing for Porthmadog.
