The story of Joseph and his brothers provides a stunning illustration of the gospel crisis. We shouldn't shy away from offending the sinner. On the contrary, we should drive them to a crisis, a hard and narrow place that requires a decision - a decision to acknowledge guilt and seek mercy. Only in this crisis can the sinner find relief in the mercy of the gospel.
