New York City officials as well as some 200 principals and teachers from Queens public schools gathered at Queensborough Community College on Friday, May 15, to participate in a special conference intended to launch the New York City Department of Education's program for training educators to deal with hate crimes. The program training will be initiated in the Queens schools and then expand throughout New York City in the fall.
