Last week, Betsy DeVos testified before the Senate and answered questions regarding the intent and purview of the newly formed Federal Commission on School Safety, which DeVos chairs. DeVos told the committee that the "role of firearms as it relates to gun violence in our schools" is not something the Commission would be looking into.
