Units from Royal Navy 40 Commando Royal Marines are helping with the relief effort in Somerset. They worked through the night to help evacuate around 140 properties in the village of Moorland. The Ministry of Defence said marines were deployed to help put down sandbags and improve flood defences. More flood misery is expected, with severe weather alerts in place for south east England, the South West and Wales, as more wet weather is forecast. Report by Mark Morris.
