"Are You Gonna Be My Girl" is a song by the Australian rock band Jet, featured on their 2003 album "Get Born", released in 2003 in Australia and the UK, and in 2004 in the United States. This is my version of Mark Wilson's bass line. I haven't been pleased with the sound quality on my last few videos, so in my quest to get better audio, this was sort of a "test" video with a new recording method. Because of YouTube's massive compression, plus the difficulties in trying to find proper amp volume levels without annoying the neighbors, I've switched to recording "direct in" to the computer. This is a signal right from the bass into a PreSonus Audiobox, and tracked with Cubase software. Probably a better way to go, although it's a few extra steps. Hopefully the quality is better! FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY!!
